Credentials
Dr. Faver is licensed to practice psychology in New Hampshire and New York. He earned his undergraduate degree in psychology at the State University of New York at Binghamton and his doctorate in counseling psychology from the American Psychological Association accredited program at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Lee completed his training at the Colorado State University Counseling Center. Dr. Faver earned a prestigious Board Certification (Diploma) in Clinical Psychology from the American Board of Professional Psychology--ABPP.

Recognition and Affiliations
In addition to having earned Board Certification, Dr. Faver is recognized by the American Psychological Association (APA). And he is a member of the APA HIV Office for Psychology Education Training Team which certifies him to provide continuing education to health and mental health professionals. He is a member of the New Hampshire Psychological Association, APA Behavioral Social Scientist Volunteer Program, and the Psychoanalytic Association of Western New York.

Dr. Faver was a staff psychologist at the Western New York Institute for the Psychotherapies, where he was the director of group programs. He has also worked as the program director at BryLin Hospitals’ acute-care child and adolescent unit in Buffalo, NY.

Dr. Faver is a nationally recognized expert and trainer, teaching and conducting workshops on, health related behavior change, relationships, HIV/AIDS, sexuality, sexual orientation, and various aspects of psychotherapy. He has trained psychologists, career counselors, mental health and health professionals conducting workshops and seminars. His training resume includes Antioch University of New England, Keene State College, the Buffalo Veterans Administration Hospital, various community agencies throughout western NY, the Psychological Association of Western NY, the University of North Dakota, Idaho State University, Fredonia State College, Buffalo State College, Colorado State University, and Syracuse University. He has been on the faculty of a Sexuality Attitudes Reassessment—an intensive human sexuality training program—and was the training director for Creating Healthy Sexuality—a training program aimed at educators, human service personnel, health and mental health professionals.

Dr. Faver was a prevention consultant at at AIDS Community Services of Western NY, the AIDS Alliance of Western New York, and Group Ministries. His expertise in the application of psychological and behavioral health research leads to more effective prevention programs. Dr. Faver assists in program development and adaptation, and prevention and client-service staff training in areas such as assessment and intervention skills. He has also led support meetings for staff. The Client Services Management Team employed Lee as a management advisor. Prior to these activities, Dr. Faver was a leadership consultant to the director of an inpatient unit at Niagara Memorial Hospital and the clinical director of the Beacon Substance Abuse Treatment Center, and worked at both the Gow School in South Wales, NY and BryLin Hospitals in Buffalo, NY.
